I went to see stage 13 of the Tour de France today between Pau and Lourdes, and I was surprised to see that they used a lots of VW's for the "Caravane" name of the publicity convoy.
2 Bay windows Low light wizzed pass in front of me.
This New Beetle had Mickey on the top

This trike had a flat 4 engine and was built on a VW chassis.

I reckon the Tour de France would be a lot more interesting if they used air cooled vw's instead of cycles..!
