Straight axle box & Adjustable spring plate

Double Denim and Alex have been busy on the box build up and fitting of the straight axle kit, Claude's bus will be ready for collection on Saturday.

and it plopped in a treat

Double Denim slid on some adjustable spring plates too, Quality parts make the job enjoyable to carry out, and no cut down stock spring plates or any shonkey steel spring plate spacers in our workshop!! These custom made spring plates are made longer than stock to gain correct camber settings too.

CB Performance Narrowed Beam by T2D

This is the Beam installed on my van. It's a CB Performance Beam narrowed 4". It also has 2 adjusters which allow the leaves to rotate and then slam the van to the ground..... It's the same principal as the famous Puma Beam on a Beetle.

For a perfect fit the beam has to be reworked slightly. Looks like Charlie got the short straw !!!

And the all new t2d beam bushes for perfect arm fit on the reworked CB Beams

Standard Height measurement

Today is the day!! The van is booked in at T2D and it will take about 2 hours to get there. Before I left I've recorded the standard measurements of the van and we will see how low it is when they have finished with it, in 2 weeks time .

Everything is recorded and it's time to go to Burwell to see the Pro's. I arrived at about 10h30 and everybody was busy working on differents projects, Bay windows, High roof, splitty's. I had a chat with Paul and he knew exactly what he had to do. So I left the van and came back home on the Bus....
Back home, I went to Beakers blog (a T2D guy's blog) and I found a picture of the van. Cool....

another sign written one in for t2d'n

Insulation

The camping season is approaching and it's time to insulate the van. Thanks to my mate Andy who gave me a reel of insulating foil. He has done his panel van and was very pleased with it.

All the panels will be done like that.

Putting the foil facing inside gives the best insulation.
The corners were tricky to do.
