Journey to Ninove

The journey started at 1 O'clock for the 280 mile trip to Belgium (450km). I meet up with Andy for a very very wet trip.
We took the Eurotunnel to cross the channel.
On the French side we met up with Paul
We are now ready to carry on our journey. Direction Gent ...

Friday night is very busy in Gent and the only available space to park the buses was in this little alley way. We had to convince the locals that we were going to leave in the morning, in order to keep them sweet.
The buses are not going anywhere tonight.

Gent is very nice with canals everywhere.
I had good time for our 1st night in Belgium with Andy and Paul.
Time to wake up for the last leg of the Journey.

Perfect spot again this year. We are parked very close to the Hotel de Croone. It will be the place to be tonight.

The vw's start to arrive in town....

The engine is back in the van

For a long time now I had problems with the wiring of the van. I had the idiot light constantly on and also had some battery charging problems. So last week I removed the engine and this allow me to tidy up the electric connection in the engine bay.
This morning I was ready to drop en engine back. With my new jack it took me only 10 min.
Everything is in place, just need to tighten up the bots.
Jobe done, Everything is working. The idiot light is now off. I had a bad connection on the alternator wire behind the engine.

Engine removal with my new Liftmaster jack.

After a very heavy snow fall my compagny close down and send us home. I took the opportunity to try for the first time my new Liftmaster jack. My engine needed to come out as I wanted to check the electrics.
Nice view of today's snow

Engine is now out. Lets have a look at this wireing...

Liftmaster Jack

Today I received my xmas present from my dad. It's a Liftmaster Jack. That will be perfect to remove and put back the engine on the van. It's capable of lifting 650Kg. Should be ok...

Looks good.

Should only take a few minutes to remove the engine.

The bumper and rear valence are new removed.
