Getting ready for the new engine

Darren came today to help me to finalize the engine and remove the 1200cc. We tuned the Dellorto carbs with his Carburattor sync tool.
Very handy trolley which fits snug under the engine.
The oil pressure gauge had to be reconnected.
The new 12v starter motor is connected as well as the new fuel line.
And the electric full pump has been reconnected.
The electric harness has been sorted and the engine bay is ready to install the new motor tomorrow morning.
I took the opportunity to weld the throttle cable tube to the tinware.

4 in 1 Exhaust modification

The EMPI Exhaust I bought lately had the support for the original setup. Having twin carbs on my new engine I didn't need them so I decided to modify the exhaust.
This is what is left after removing the pipe.
Good opportunity to use my clarke welder for the first time. I will try to fill the hole.
This is me in action.
Ok , it's a bit messy but not too bad for a beginner.

And this is how it looks after a bit of grinding
Hole nb 2.
Not as messy as the first one.
Job done.
