Bucks Herald Breaking news !!!!

Today we made the head line. This is an article found on the Bucks Herald.

Happy campers!

Published Date: 09 September 2008
TODAY'S online calendar picture shows a line of different coloured Volkswagen camper vans in Aylesbury.
The picture was taken in the car park of a Stoke Mandeville pub recently. The Volkswagen Type 2 (also known as Transporter) was the second automotive line introduced by German automaker Volkswagen. It was a van introduced in 1950, initially based on Volkswagen's first model, the Type 1, also known as the "Beetle". The Type 2 is the forerunner of modern cargo and passenger vans. The Type 2 spawned a number of imitators both in the United States and Europe including the Ford Econoline, Dodge A100, and the Chevrolet Corvan, the last even adopting the Type 2's rear-engine configuration. Updated versions of this line are still being produced in international markets, both as a passenger and cargo van and as a pickup truck.

Vanfest 2008

On the way to Vanfest at the 3 Counties show ground , Malvern

The rain was torrential on Friday night

Andy's Panel.

Cool slammed bay.

This year was the 50th Anniversary of the crew cab.
A neighbour on the SSVC camping area, Andy, had this amazing paint job on his 11 windows.

Beautiful Barndoor engine bay.

Another neighbour for the weekend, Russell and Louise from Belfast.
A few bits I bought from the trade area... 200mm flywheel, clutch and fan shroud
I was surprised to be interviewed by the official Vanfest camera crew, so there's a chance that I might be on the next Vanfest DVD.
